Georg Rommel

composed music for kindergarten and served as a pall bearer at the funeral of Friedrich Froebel at Liebenstein in 1852. Georg Rommel was the choirmaster and the cantor of the Lutheran Church in Liebensten. He died in 1855.

In 1858 his widow, Margaret Maria Stuart Rommel, emigrated to the United States with three minor sons, John Robert Alexander, Emil and Rudolph. At least one child, a daughter Anna remained in Germany.
